2 Free Carpentry Hacks To Ask For

When it comes to carpentry finishing, there are 2 important “accessories” that you can ask for from your ID or contractor that is super useful!

It is these two small things on my fingers.

The name is easy to remember as well!

I call the left one “nipple” (L) and the right one “tape” (R).

“Nipple”

"Nipple” is actually a small rubber used to cushion the carpentry, specifically doors, so that when you open it, it does not damage the surface.

This is especially relevant for carpentry that is built 90 degrees adjacent to a wall, such as the photo above.

Common areas include bedroom wardrobe, and kitchen carpentry.

So if you or your partner is the kind who will 粗手粗脚 or always slam doors, make sure to get this!

“Tape” (Screw Hole Cover)

“Tape” is basically a sticker that’s used to cover the screw hole nail.

Whenever you build carpentry sure have the screw hole nail, some love it cause it gives the “raw and organic” look, some cannot stand it.

As such, carpenters always will prepare a “sticker” that matches the internal skin colour used in your carpentry.

It can be like the white one in the photo above, or other colours like grey, brown etc.

Personally I think its natural and there’s no need to cover it but if you do mind make sure to get it.

TLDR

Carpentry finishing = “Nipple” + “Tape”

Both are free, just ask.

Nipple cushions doors, tape hides holes.
