How to Hide the ‘Ugly’ Aircon Ledge
The aircon ledge window is a common eyesore for many homeowners.
You know the window that allows the aircon compressor to go in and out?
It is often found in the master bedroom, and most people just begrudgingly live with it exposed.
But this ID, tasked by his homeowner, came up with a clever solution to conceal it!
Watch our tiktok channel if you lazy to read.
This is the master bedroom.
From the outside, you see a clean wood panel that joins with the cream-coloured wall.
Sort of like a decorative statement piece for the master room.
But actually it’s hiding the aircon ledge window, and the trunking.
What the ID did
Simply put, the ID created a “fake” partition wall in front of the real wall.
The ID noticed that the master bedroom was bigger than normal.
By pushing the wall slightly into the room, it allowed them to:
Create a decorative bedroom feature wall to their whim
Hide the aircon trunking behind
Still maintain a good-sized master
Yes, the room technically became smaller, but when you walk in, it still feels spacious.
And they even rounded it off with a curve near the entrance so the whole thing looks thoughtfully created rather than forcefully made.
So if this window ledge is irritating you mad, this is one of the many approaches worth considering, especially if you’ve got the space to play with.
Of course, as we always say, no solution is perfect - you just need to rank your priorities.
