Inside The Remains of A Burnt House

Fire breaking out in your own home is probably one of the scariest things that can happen to a homeowner.

It is extremely rare, but legit getting more common (think TPY had another one recently).

We managed to tour the inside of a recently burnt house. You can see for yourself.

Watch our tiktok channel if you lazy to read.

FYI, these images are POST-town council clean up, you can only imagine how bad it was initially.

The electrical wiring was completely charred.

And here you can see exactly where the fire started.

This image was taken right after the fire, where it originated.

Interestingly, you can see that the other blacked parts of the house, weren’t from flames, but from the smoke.

It was the smoke fumes that made the house as such.

The aircon itself melted from the intense heat.

Thankfully the neighbours weren’t badly affected. Still, the owners were quite suey cause they didn’t have home insurance. That meant every repair, from repainting to rewiring, will have to come out of pocket.

Fire Reno Tips

Some tips that we learnt from the homeowner & ID (we could only find 1 ID who handled such fire cases before out of 100 or so):

  • Spalling needs to be checked for given the intense heat

  • Whole house has to be re-plastered

  • Buy fire insurance (?)
